quick question
will oil in the PCV valve and valve cover vacuum lines be a big cause for a smoky exhaust?
I swapped out a buddies PCV and other lines and found some oil in those lines
any thoughts?
Compression test found 265-270 avg across all 4 cylinders so I doubt its rings
his car smokes on acceleration but the back of the car isnt oily just sooted up
no plugs are oily either
threats thoughts opinions ideas etc

There is supposed to be oil in the PCV lines. The PCV recirculates blowby vapors.
And yes, a clogged PCV system can cause burning of oil.

did i mention it was alot of oil
that little oil box was all gunked up
the valve was also gunked up and quite a bit of oil came out so I replaced all the lines
when I get a chance im going to remove and clean out that oil box
any thoughts about the IAC also if there might be oil in there too
