Default Question that I should be beat for!

O.K. here it is, I have a 1992 mr2 non turbo. I'm tired of being cramped and having kids in civics whip my *** at stoplights. So I was thinking about getting an Accord. I like the 1999 2.3L manual transmission coupe, but will it outrun my mr2, not necessarily on the turns, but at lights? I just want more room and more power with not a lot of money, and none in sight in the near future. Also any reccomendations would be great if another reliable, roomy, somewhat quick with room to upgrade, car comes to mind. I know it's a lot to ask, so thanks to all that reply.

Well you could get a 6th gen AV6 and supercharge it, tune it with Hondata, and some bolt ons, and if you get it just right, some guy got 220 whp. It's going to be pretty hard since accords are heavy to get what you want. If you want a roomy coupe, you could go nuts with a 5th gen.

Everyone i know that has a 5th gen seems to like how easy it is to tune. I just drove my teacher's 5th gen and it's a blast to drive. You could pick up a used coupe cheap, do an h22 swap, and turbo it. That's about what an accord can offer.

I may be sinning saying this, but...

Have you tried an integra?

Get an integra shell and a dart block and go nuts

And I may be beat for saying this, but

SUPRA
ECLIPSE
300ZX
could also be options.

I agree with the 5th gen idea. 4th gen is a little small and 6th gen is a bit heavy. Trust me, I've got one of each and they both have their downfalls. 5th gen is a good median between potential performance and good interior space. H22+Turbo, F22+Turbo, both work really well. Good luck.

i think if you do a h22 swap into a 5 gen then you should N/A it, do cams, cam gears, stand alone, good set of headers, intake, ehaust and a 75 wetshot you should be runnin down alot of punks in civics.

instead of being worried by kids in civics, why dont you start worring about your life..aka, dont street race......if u wanna go fast and beat people, do it at the strip

if u REALLY wanna go fast in an accord w/ litle trouble as possible....

gutted 5th gen DX/LX (less heavy than the EX)....rebuild/refurbish the block, valve and drive trains, and then a custom turbo job......
