Default Too big a wire for wiring Vtec?

Ok I just finished my B16A1 swap in my CRX, and I had some 14 gauge wiring laying around so I did all my wiring with that... The first problem I had was when the VAFC was hooked up, it threw a code the whole time for the Vtec Solenoid, then, I took the VAFC off and just hooked the line up to the ECU, and that worked with no codes for a little bit, but then as I was driving (about 3 minutes) I tripped a CEL and that happened with my 2nd oxygen sensor too... Did I use to big of a wire thus raising the impedance, and causing me to trip a code after a bit, or is it something else?

It's probably not the wire, but why would it work some of the time, and then throw a code, and still work?

if it's wired correctly the gauge of wire doesn't matter, i'd check your wiring.

Yeah I definitely could have messed up the wiring becuase I am not a wiring guru, however, I just dont understand how it will work fine, then throw the code later...

OK first I have the two O2 sensors mixed up, so that takes care of my O2 sensor code (hopefully) I was throwing a code 4 which is 2nd O2 sensor, so hopefully switching the two will fix that... But I also have a code 21 that lights up sometimes which is Vtec soleniod... So any thoughts on this is appriciated...
