i was wondering, if i take my car to the muffler shop .. tell them to change piping of my stock catback to 2.25 and keep my stock cat, ref box, and exhaust can, will that be the same as getting a catback from like hks or greedy or anything. i reason for asking this is beacuse i want a stock look, but have a bigger throat for breathing. hmmm ...

If you want a stock look, look into getting a Magnaflow oval muffler, or an ES Oval, which is pretty much the same thing. Get a high flow cat, run a 2.25 mendrel bent.

It's not the oval one but it is round. The only thing is it makes a raspy noise at around 4+ RPM but Has a nice sound below that. You'll notice a better performance over the stock muffler easily lol. (Oh yes, I also have a Carsound Cat converter on because my stock cat converter was pluggged up with carbon). Hope this helps (Oh yeah, im using 2" instead of 2.25, Dunno why though hah)

Just a word of advice, without a resonator, your exhaust will sound like raw ***.
