eibach prokit camber question
I just got some Eibach prokit springs, and KYB AGXs for my 91 civic. I was planning on having to buy some kinda camber kit, but after reading around the fourms it looks like I can get by without one. Anybody else running these springs w/o a camber kit? I believe they are only a 1.5 inch drop, and seems people say that you only start getting uneven tire wear around 2.5-3 in. any advice would be great, thanks
Please-get the car aligned! There is absolutely no way you will know for sure if you need Camber kits without an alignment. You will want to reset the Toe anyway since it will be disturbed when you change the springs. Allow me to say again that for each 1" of drop the Camber changes by ~0.84 degrees negative from wherever it was before the drop. You can read all about this on both the Ingalls and SPC websites. Whose kits-if needed-? I use both brands depending on the car and amount of drop involved and/or track class rules.
im looking at purchasing the SPC upper ball joint kit, but its on back order for a few weeks...accourding to my parts supplier. ingalls and SPC make some great parts.
absolutely no need for a camber kit. youll need to get your toe straightened. toe affects tire wear more than camber. my camber with prokits installed is -1.8, i was down to -2.5 camber and still got even tire wear as well.
