Default How to cut and drill into fiberglass 101 ??

I have a 1994 Honda accord and i just purchased a front and rear bumper from GTP international importfan.com. There are two small pieces on my front fiberglass bumper that I want to cut off. The fiberglass is typically sized in thickness.

What should be used to cut this piece of ?? Do i need a special fiberglass cutter ??

and also the kit didn't have the holes drilled for mounting the bumper. What should I know before I start drilling mounting holes into my bumper (splitting, etc.) ?? What is the best way to mark off where I want to drill ??

No special cutter required. Just make shure you use a fine tooth metal cutting blade. Use a quality blade as well because fiberglass will dull a blade fairly quickly. As for drilling, just use a nice sharp bit. Pre drill wth an 1/8" bit before drilling holes larger than 3/8" just to be on the safe side. Visit our hood scoop installation page for more ideas on how to work with fiberglass body parts. http://www.idmspeed.com/scoopinstall

use tape were your going to cut to keep it from splintering, Spend the extra money on a good blade.
