difference in single cam ZC and d16a6?

Default difference in single cam ZC and d16a6?

i tried search wouldnt let me put in ZC cause it was to vauge


im gonna be picking one up this weekend, i heard theres really no differnce between zc and the a6, the zc has like 10more hp i heard but i heard it was mainly because of ecu/a tad bit higher compression true?

theres 3 types of ZC's out there from japan and or usdm oldschool integras.

d16z6 = sohc ZC Vtec
d16a6 = sohc zc non-vtec
d16a1? = dohc ZC

i think you're talking about the a6 similar- zc... i heard they have more power then the a6, mine the zc vtec obviously does and comes with roughly 130hp stock.

yea he's talking about the sohc zc NON-VTEC motor which we are picking up for him this weekend. chris here is a link to check out on the specs for stock zc cam and d16a6 cam which is one of the differences with the 2 motors. http://www.d-series.org/viewto...ht=zc

ok, i've read the posts and checked out the link so, here's my question. my womens 91 civ hatch si was blowin smoke real bad, rings were fried, went to auto adventure in portland oregon and picked up a sohc D16ZC (they said it was from japan) to replace her D16A6, so the only difference is in the cam? what about hp?

sweet, you're telling me that a sohc d16a6(zc) puts out 118 hp, thats like 15 more hp than the stock d16a6, right?

everything is confussing....as for my knowledge:

d16a6=sohc non-vtec
d15z6=JDM zc sohc vtec
zc sohc NON-vtec is the same as the A6 which i think thats wat ur talking about

thanx for all the info guys, thanx john for that link on D series.org, so im guessing all parts for a a6 will work for the sohc non vtec zc im piocking up thanx guys
