Probably because of the 4,785 Final drive ratio

Yea, I am interested in the used one actually. why is it that a NEW JDM trans is $4500 when I can get a new usdm one for 1600. weird. the reason I want the jdm one is because I want the shorter final drive and first gear. I have broken my final drive twice and now I broke my second gear. I am finally throwing the clutch master stage three in the garbage because it is a tranny killing monster. let me know how much you want for the used trans.

The 98spec jdm trans has a longer 4th and 5th. All other gears are identical to the US counterpart, other than the final. If you have the money to buy a new trans, might as well buy a new usdm from Len and pick up a jdm final drive and install it while the trans is out of the car.

Does that include the LSD? If so seems like a good price considering I paid 350 for my 3rd gear syncro

Yes, the ITR tranny, when bought new from Acura, includes the LSD.

That sounds more like it. From a dealer they go from $1900-$2000. This, however, depends on what kind of discounts you have.

is there a difference between the b16a tranny and the usdm itr tranny, except for the LSD.....to me it seems like a b16a + quaife lsd seems like a better deal, but thats my opinion, other people tend to go with oem i guess
