my car is burning oil!!!
My car is burning oil and i did a compression test and its still like 225 psi across all cylinders. I recently ran the the car and it still pulls hard, so it cant be the piston rings. I was thinking its the valve guides or seals. The car only spits smoke when i decelerate and really get on the gas. I have to add like a 1 and a half quarts of oil in between oil changes. Has anyone had any similar problems??
it's quite normal if you drve the car hard............not only with honda's but with everycar........
dont worry about it to much but if your gonna beat the hell out of the car all the time just keep an eye on the oil level.

Hmmm, when my car was naturally aspirated, I drove it reasonably hard. I never lost more than .5 quarts between oil changes. 1.5 quarts sounds like a lot to me.

Is your PCV clogged or old? Mine did that, along with bad mileage, till I replaced it. I checked everything else, rings, valves and so on, turned out to be the PCV valve. Mine never used that much oil, but I guess it is possible...

There's a college education for you...I have to agree with the seals... sounds about right, simple and inexpensive fix... good luck!
Mine burns about a quart ever 2 weeks now.Compression is perfect. It is just the reality you are going to have to face if you drive your car hard.
