Default 225's on an EG?

I'm wondering if anyone has run a 225 on an EG (street mod) hatchback?

Does it require spacers?

What wheel offset?

The specs below are taken from the Hoosier Website. http://www.hoosiertire.com/rrtire.htm

The same sizes are available in the new Kumho as well.

P225/50ZR-14
Tread Widty 8.8"
Diameter 22.7"
Circ. 71.3"
Recomended Rim 8-9"
Measured Rim 7"
Section Width 9.2"

P225/45ZR-15
Tread Width 8.6"
Diameter 22.8"
Circ. 71.6"
Recomended Rim 7-9"
Rim Width 7.5"
Section Width 9.3"

I am contemplating wheel and tire size for AutoX next season and am starting my research. Any and all comments are welcome.

Damn I wish they made a lower profile tire (translation smaller diameter) in a 14 or 15.

PS. I am stuck with a 14" or 15" wheel due to brake size.

I'm running 225 45 15 Hoosiers in the Front and 205 50 15 in the rear on my EG. the front tire will touch the inner wheel well a little during full lock but not really an issue. the 225 Kumhos are little narrower and should be fine also.

I'm not sure of his wheel off-set, but Roger Foo was running 225/50-15's on his WC Civic with 10mm spacers.

I'm running 42 offset 15x7 volks. Roger is running a 10mm spacer to clear the AP calipers

What do you all think of a 225/45-15 on a Kosei K1 in 15X8?

At this point that is the plan.

why not 13" wheel? every competitive "eg" that i know of autocrossing (i am assuming this is your sport since you mentioned street mod) in CSP or SM is running the 225's on a 13*7 or 13*8 inch wheel. not only does this make more sense, but the tires are cheaper i believe also! if there is a certian reason you don't want these tell me, cause i'm about to get some 13*7's.
