When its cold and I go over potholes or bumps in the road, I get a really loud squeak seeming to come from my rear shocks. I just recently changed them out because they had gone bad (there was sqeak with the old ones too) and I torqued down everything to the specs in the haynes manual, etc. etc. I cant figure it out. Anyone having similar problems, know where the squeak is coming from? I have a 94 ex coupe

 

It could be from the coils on the springs hitting and making a squeak.

what can i do to fix this?

 

check your bushings in the area, they may be worn or could just use a shot of litium grease

 

you can wrap them or put a thin piece of rubber in between the coils to take care of it.

Squeaking noise.
I recently started having the same problem. But I am not sure if it due to the suspension.

I get a squeaking noise from the rear end of the car. I am not sure if it from the brakes or some place else.
I recently had a brake pad change. Could it be possible that the squeaking noise could be coming from the suspension.

If you know, I could possibly get my car checked from a dealership.

 

Brakes probably arent your problem because the rear brakes are used very little in daily driving. When does the sqeaking occur when you are driving?
