Default high rev's on a stock tac.

this question might seem kinda weird or stupid. but i have always wondered this. lets say some one has a VX cluster (the tac stops at 8000, not relines there but stops there), and there motor revs to 9200. would the tac keep going, or will it bounce at the end.

it'll keep on going, that is unless there is a pin after so far down, like on some speedometers which will end up snapping the needle

it will keep going. i know a guy who revved his type r to 10,000 rpms when he raced. he had a vx cluster, and a vafc set to monitor the revs. it just keeps going...

The needle will keep on going untill it hits something. Like the bottom of the gauge cluster.
