Ack! My SpeedBleeders are leaking. Please help...
On my way home from work today I noticed my brake light was coming on under acceleration. When I got home I checked my fluid level, and sure enough, it was close to the min line. I had installed the SpeedBleeders and bled the brakes on Sunday, and was sure that I had topped off the levels.
So I reached my hand around the wheels and felt the bleeder valve and not only were the rubber caps missing from the rears, but there was fluid all over the place!
The caps were still on the front, but I couldn't tell if any fluid had leaked out.
Has anyone had this happen before?
Did I buy the right part? SB10125's all around. M10 x 1.25 threads.
Did I tighten them enough? I didn't use a torque wrench, but the wesite states 32-40 in-lbs is correct. Is that about 3 ft-lbs?
Did the fact that the brake light was coming on mean that I have let air into the system at the master cylinder?
Did I mention I am going to the track this weekend?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Just use the stock bleeders valves and use a one man pressurized system (not that crappy vaccum stuff).
http://www.motiveproducts.com Get the universal kit.
or if you're going for broke:

The threads on speedbleeders aren't exact for Type R's. You can try using teflon tape, but I think it's a crappy solution.

It sounds like they just weren't tightened down hard enough. The goo they put on them makes it hard to tighten them down the first time, so you have to be sure you're hitting the end of the travel of the screw and not just some goo. I have heard of Speed Bleeders starting to leak from the threads after a while, but never immediately after installation. I didn't read the torque specs and I tightened mine a heck of a lot more than 3 lb-ft and they have never leaked. I would tighten them down with a firm crank (kind of like the firm crank you use to get the OEM screws out, which isn't any kind of wimpy 3 lb-ft), top off the reservoir, and hope for the best.
As for the brake light, that is just based on the sensor in the cap of the reservoir. If it never got below the min line, there is very little chance that air got into the lines that way. If it did, you'll know right away from a spongy feeling pedal. Trust me, I have done it!
If the Bleeders are old, you can get replacement sealing goo for the threads. They sell it from Speed-Bleeders.com.

I happened to 2 of my bleeders and 1 of the bleeder on my friend's prelude too.
It's a known problem. I know some other will say "I don't have any problem at all".

He he,
I don't have that problem at all.
Yeah, I cans ee these tihngs leaking though. I haven't noticed anything yet, bu tI have only bled my brakes once; with repeated use we will see how thye hold up.
I agree with above suggestions, if thye are leaking, get rid of them and get a pressurized bleeder.
