how do i take my shock off my 89 crx??

how do i take my shock off my 89 crx??
hey i was trying to take my shock off but the last screw thats on the top of the shock thats inside the back of the car just spins because the shock rod thats its on just spins... so how do i get it off??

First off you need to take the strut off the car first! Then when the strut is you to the car you should be able to put an allen key in the top of the strut to keep it from spinning. If that doesn't work then you need to take a towel and wrap it around the shaft of the strut, then take a pair of pliers and hold the shaft to keep it from spinning.
