Default shoei helmets

Alright, so my first helmet just came in today, a shoei syncrotec, turns out its 2 sizes way too big, but it even tho its big on me its a pain to take off, really tight... I read posts saying that you have to let it stretch for it to become easier to take off. anyways I remeasured my head and I looked at a sizing chart

22-3/8" 57-58 7-1/8 - 7-1/4 Medium, the measurements are close to my head but will it be even tighter? or should I order the large to be on the safe side? I've tried on the helmet before but i didn't know how much slack there should be if any, thanks!

btw does anyone own this model? the Syncrotec once again

It's always hard to put a helmet on. You have to pull the straps REEEAAAAL wide to fit your noggin through. Once it's on, it should be very snug. Snug enough that you can't move the helmet around without squishing your cheeks and making your face look funny. If you can fit a finger between your forehead and the forehead padding, it might be a bit too loose (assuming it's a brand-new helmet). Try wearing it for at least 30min, then see if it's still uncomfortable.

I don't think the Syncrotec has removable pads, otherwise you could just get smaller or bigger pads to compensate.

thanks a lot! for my sized head, Medium might seem tight even after trying on this XL, but Medium would be a perfect fit although it is tight right?

well, each helmet is shaped differently. i wear a large, and when trying on large arai's, only couple fit me because of the shape of the helmet inside. so maybe you are medium, just mediums you tryed on were shaped wrong?

yeah, most of the time, you either have a shoei head or arai head. I couldn't find anything to fit except shoei. I got the RF900 about 2 1/2 years ago, and used to be tight. I used a ball peen hammer and tapped the front inside a bit to makeit fit perfect..
