what year is the car? there should be a reset slot that you can stick a key in and it will change the color back to green on the gauge cluster. check and see if you can see that.

If it's a sixth generation, push in the reset button (same as the trip odometer?) with the car turned off, turn the car to "on" (but don't start it), wait five seconds or so. At that point it will be reset, and will turn back on when she starts the car after 6,000 miles, and will stay solid after 7,500 miles.

It's just a reminder, it has no way of knowing what maintenance you have done to the car.

What is the year and make of the Accord, and how many miles does it have?

More information about the maintenance light, and how to turn it off, will be in her owner's manual, if she has it.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by H22edAccord &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">it is right around the little box that is red. it is a black button that any pen would press in.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Conveniently an ignition key fits the slot exactly.
