B16a Help....!!!
I put a b16a engine in my 1990 CRX si for right now til i get the turbo kit done and i keep getting the check code 22 which i know is the vtec oil pressure switch. Im not new to this swap at all and i have had people look at it besides me and it is just mine blowing. It is throwing that check code and i sent the computer back and got a PR3 and that wasnt the problem cause it was checked by steve at Hmotorsonline. I replace the pressure switch and vtec soleniod the wiring is in the correct pinouts (Checked, double checked, had other people check and go over), wires are also getting 12v so they sending signal. Car runs and drives fine other than vtec will not engage because of that. It is driving me crazy and i havent had my car out in a while cause of this. Just hoping someone might read this and come across a solution that might be able to help and yes the vtec solenoid is grounded as well cause its the hasport subharness. Please if you have had this happen please help.
By chance, do you have a oil pressure gauge hooked up? Then you could see if you have sufficient oil pressure. Is the screen on the solenoid clean and free of any gunk that may be restricting oil?
