I just bought an 89 CRX...silver. It's odd. You see, I have the doors with the seatsbekts on them (as opposed to the ones on the pillar), I have the annoying seatbelt beeper thing (the two little lights by the mirror along with a light between the gas and temp gauges) and I also have the outside trim pieces (the black strips) from the 90-91 Civic/CRX. The gauge cluster is 89 as is the heater console (with the push buttons). Gah! Wierd huh? Was there ever an 89 1/2 made? Or am I just on crack here?

Nope. They moved the seatbelts on the 89 models. Only the 88 models had the seatbelts on the pillar.

 

I see. My friend has an 89 Civic and it's the same stuff that's on the 88 CRX (which he has also). So the 89 Civic is different than the 89 CRX in all the mentioned aspects??
