Default 6th gen ECU question

Ok i need some help from you guys. As a beginner, i wanted an opinion on where to send off my ecu for modification (i.e. getting the rev limiter removed, etc.). Where would you suggest?

Don't send it off, youre most likely going to get someone that applies a basic formula to your car, very nonspecific. Get a tuning program such as Hondata. You can run your car on a dyno and tune it per your specifications, plus it gets rid of speed limiter, PLUS, you can retune it after every modification you make which is always a good thing

hondata does not support the 6th gen accord due to it's 3-wire IAC sensor.

Actually you can convert it, that's what i'm doing. You need the basic OBD2-1 harness plus some other install work and wiring and it should work fine

so you're converting to a 2-wire IAC too? Post pics/how-to when you're done if you would be so kind.

UAB2000Accord2dr - what kind of answer are you looking for? don't mod your ECU unless you have a lot of work done to your car to make it worthwhile (ie: turbo or perhaps NO2) what are your current mods?

Why do you want rid of the rev limiter because your motor will not make anymore power revving past the limiter. All you will be doing is letting your motor spin until it falls apart.

don't waste your money on an ECU upgrade. get a header & high-flow cat, or if you want real power save for a turbo system.

I'm with the H-T redneck above - why remove the rev limiter?

don't. you'll get more bang for your money elsewhere. if you're serious about tuning look into the AEM EMS, but you don't need that level of flexability with just bolt-ons.
