Default No spark.. Anyone have any ideas???

Ok. I just put in my '89 DOHC ZC into my '89 hatchback that is wired MPFI and the distributor wiring is 100% correct. So is the cam angle sensor. PM7 and known good PM6 are throwing no codes....

It ran perfect until I pulled into the shop and turned it off. I jacked the car up to tighten two bolts on the front suspension, and to put on my exhaust. I dropped the car down again, and it wouldn't start. I'm getting fuel, compression, and timing is correct. But I am not getting any spark!!!

I replaced the ignitor with a known good one that I just had laying around, and it still didn't help. Cap and rotor are good, plugs and plug wires are good. The only thing I can think of is either the coil is shot, or I'm not getting juice to the dizzy. Does anyone know what voltages each of the 5/7 wires on the dizzy/CAS plug so maybe I can check them?? Just to save someone having to ask, yes I have tried switching the two white wires on the dizzy.. Thanks!!

I would try swapping out the coil with a known good one and see if that solves your situation.

Deffinately pull out the coil. Look in the little hole, it most likely is chared which means it is burn out. Had the same problem before. Expecialy if you were f@#king around with the car before you brought it to the shop (Like reving it real high). Honda coils pop very easy if you rev to high. The only other thing i could suggest is to check to see if you were looking at the ECU plugs correctly when wiring. I did this when swapping in my JDM b16a into 89 rex. I wiried everything 100% correct. But no spark, after a week of testing everything known to man. I figured out that i was not orienting the plugs correctly when wiring, so to make a long story short everthing that i wired into the existing ECU clips were on the opposite side they should have been on. Makes sense? I hope you follow me . If you are looking at the plugs correctly when determining the correct pin outs, the top of the biggest clip should have 2 slanted angles in the plastic on top of the clip. Check it out.

I'm replacing the coil when I get home today. I borrowed a friends coil. I was reving it pretty high, I'm digging the DOHC freedom .

The car was already running MPFI before I put the ZC in. All I had to do was replace the plug on the distributor .

The known good coil didn't help.... I guess now its checking the wires for continuity and maybe replace the dizzy/CAS...

Wires all read ok, to dizzy and CAS. No codes at all. I've replaced the ignitor, the coil, plug wires... Cap and rotor are still good. Both computers are good...

My dad (old school racer) said I might want to replace the condenser (??) on the dizzy. Its the little metal round thing on top of the dizzy... I don't have one to do anything with though. Could this be the problem??

check all your grounds.

Test with a known working distributor.

Condenser? points? That's all old school. Electronic ignition replaced that stuff.

Ok cool, because I didn't know what he was talking about lol.

Thats the biggest problem, I don't have another distributor or cam angle sensor to test with. If I can even find a D16A1 in any of the local junkyards, they already have the distributor and CAS taken out...
