logging out?

Stupid question but umm I can't get my friends computer to log me out. don't want him posting stupid stuff on me and getting me kicked off.
I hit log out and then it says I'm logged out but it tells me up top that I'm still logged in and obviously I am because I'm posting!

in your profile you have to go to the user settings in the upper right and require login with each new session
