What downpipe flange do I need? *pic*
This is a t3, but it has this adaptor that goes from the normal 5 bolt to this:
I just received a flange I ordered, but it wont fit. The flange has 4 bolts equal distances from each other, like a square, while in the above pic you can see my turbo has the bolts like a frieken rectangle. Anyone have a clue?

if it is really close to fitting you could file or drill out the holes a little biggger.
but as to what flange that is ai have no idea????
did you get the turbo off ebay by chance?

Yea, but this one makes it much simpler than making piping for both the int gate and the dp. With this adaptor I can just get it done in one shi-bang.

It can fit two of the holes accross from each other. The other two I'd have to weld one some tabs then drill out holes to get it to fit, which is what I just might do.
No, didn't get it off of ebay.

Yea, I can. I thought that's what b18bturbo suggested at first, but now I see he meant something different. So my response to him would be the same here. Here's a farther off pic to show the adaptor...it'd just be easier to run it with the adaptor on.

no no, the gate is still in the turbo. If worst situation comes I can just take off this part and use the normal 5 bolt t3 flange fine. But then I have to weld an extra pipe...and I dont want to do that

looks to me like bailhatch is right.
i would even put money on it.
your internal wastegate will not be functionable if you take that off and use a 5 blot flange

mother ****, you guys are right!!! Guess a 5 bolt is out of the question. The flapper is in the adaptor part...guess I should of looked in the box
So I will have to make/find a flange for the 4 bolt
Process of elimination

take it to a machine shop and see what the will charge you to slice one up.
just dont have it CNC'd, unless you have lots of money to blow.
otherwise run the 5 bolt and ditch the internal, that is what i would do

I like those t'3...Because u can run it internally gated or externally gated, because the flapper is in the adapter piece....Thats why it has a weird looking adapter plate.Take if of and fun the standard 5 bolt.
How much did u get it for?

That's all fine and dandy, considering he has enough money to afford a decent waste gate.

just make your own, i had the same troubles as you did for awhile trying out 3 different flanges, then said screw it and went down to machine shop down the road, paid 3 dollars for sheet of metal, a sawzaw and a drill...and hour later had an ugly but workable flange.....try it out if all else fails...
Show that picture to Forced Performance. I'm pretty sure thats a Volkswagen 4bolt style, they are different than normal Garrett 4 bolt. Anyway he'd know right off the bat what it was if you're not wanting to make your own.

Just curious...
Are the distance between two sstuds on the same side the same throughout?
1 2
3 4
like is 1-2 equal to 3-4, and 1-3 equal to 2-4?
edit-----boy... that rectangle looked a lot more rectangular in my post.
