I have accuired a D16A6 for very litlle ($250.00 CAN). The piston rings are blown, however I am planning a complete rebuild from the bottom up, including many available upgrades,larger domed pistons, longer forged rods compatible with an elevated crank, possible type R cam conversion and the additon of a t25 running a small but consistently zippy 10psi boost. All will be in vain however if I cannot mount in into a 1987 crx dx. I am aware of the difficulties involved in the changing of carb'd to EFI (fuel lines etc) as well as many of the necessary safety upgrades required to the braking and suspension systems. I have not found a mounting kit for such application, nor anyone who has attempted this before. I understand the wiring is going to be a nightmare of unseen porportions but I have a total of three available harness' including the 1987 crx dx, a 1991 civic hatch si, and a 1990 crx si. Any information would be greatly appreciated because I am at a total loss. Thank you in advance.
