Default S2K antenna on a 5th gen Accord help

Well I have searched without any solid finds or feedback....so I am just curious as to any help or anything anyone ran into while performing this conversion. It seems pretty simple and my stock one is shot--so i figured what the hell. I found one thread for the 4th gen which is pretty much the same, so it will help.

I am curious as to what to do with the wire running into the collar/tube on the antenna. I only have the actual s2k antenna mast. Anyways any help would be cool. Thanks.

the part on the left, the male connector, which comes in the kit or you have to make it, is bolted to the antenna base. It plugs into the female connector, which is already in your car: that black wire hanging on the white antenna base.
