Default 91 accord SportShift Problem

i have searched the forums but never had the problem i am. Ok it first started when i was driving down the road sport shift would engaged and disengage randomly while driving. I got to a place and stopped i took the switch out to see if it was a loose connection well it seemed taht way. I clipped the wires said f the switch i never use it ok well it works to get me home. Wake up go out and leave the sport shift is engaged wont disengage at all steadily on i jiggle the wires and alll to see if there is a short somewhere well i noticed today that it comes on till the car warms up and cuts off. Very odd what does anybody suggest or have related probs. Speedometer works fine. Tranny Fluid Is adequate amount. Please help ex 5speed si luder and this auto is new to me.

This question has been dealt with in here.

The problem you are having is the TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) which is located next to the ECU on the passenger floor ... under the carpet. When you pull the carpet back you will see a metal panel that houses the ECU and TCM. You need to remove the 4 nuts that hold it to the floor (you will me a deep 10mm socket to accomplish this). Once you have the 4 connectors unhooked and the assembly out ... you will see the 2 items I am speaking of. The SMALLER of the 2 is the TCM.

You can pick one up at a junkyard for around $100 (usually). You can get one out of either a 1990 or 1991 Accord DX / LX / EX. The only difference in them is the shift points and they are so minute that you will never even notice it.

I have enclosed a picture of where it is located and which one you will need to change.
