Hi everybody,

I had a question about VTEC solenoids. I have a JDM P72 head which needs a VTEC solenoid. I've heard from some people that VTEC solenoids are interchangeable between D and B VTEC motors.

My question is: when people say that they are interchangeable, do they mean the entire VTEC solenoid assembly is interchangeable or identical? or are they talking about just the top part with the small cylinder (solenoid?) and plug? because I need the complete solenoid assembly and I needed to know if I can get a compete from from any VTEC motor, or if I have to look for a complete one from P72 heads only.

Also my next question is about OBD: Are the the VTEC solenoids OBD specific? because I plan on running OBD1 since my motor is a 94. So can I only use a VTEC solenoid from OBD1 year cars, or can I use one from any year?

Here is a pic of the entire assembly that I need. Just so you guys know that I'm not looking for just the top portion.
