removing ac under the dash.
I have in the middle of a gsr dash swap, and i am wondering what i can take advantage of while the dash is off. I removed the ac in the engine bay, but i heard of people removing the ac box inside. My question is since there all connected together to you remove the fan shaped thing too? IF so what do you cover the big hole up with on the side of the heater box?
I am working with a 92 hatchback.
So basically: have a [heater box] [AC BOX] [Fan] i need to know what all i need to keep for heat. (I know the heater box stays)
Any help would be much appreciated.
And anyone that needs a complete 92-95 AC system hit me up its CHEAP!

You will need to replace that AC Box with a box from a non-AC car, or else your climate control won't work properly. The fan stays unless you don't care about climate control. If you just rip out that AC Box and don't replace it with a non-AC box, all the air will just dump onto the passenger floor when you turn on the climate control, meaning no air will come out from the vents.
When I removed my entire AC system, I pulled out that AC Box (btw, it's called the evaporator) and replaced it with a non-AC box that I picked up at a junkyard. The non-AC box is sorta like the evaporator except it is completely hollow. Hope this helps you.
