You're full of crap.
You need to modify the rails. NOT A DIRECT SWAP AT ALL!
I actually had to weld my CRX rails onto the Civic seats.

they are are the same, i put si seats in my dx without any mods, i gess that guys seats that he had to weld wer from the wrong year, 88-89 seats teh seat railsare closer together, while the 90-91 seats rails are wider apart, those seats will fit in your car without mods
I have
2 Seats from a 1990 Civic Si. I have 2 Seats from a 1991 CRX DX.
<FONT SIZE="5">THEY ARE NOT ******* INTERCHANGEABLE</FONT> you cannot put Civic seats in the CRX nor can you put CRX Seats in the Civic.

As for you non-believers, I will take pics of the horror that is the alignment/spotweld process if you all would wish. But whatever you guys wanna do. Waste all of your money.

88, 89, and 90-91 had different bolt patterns on the seats. However, you should be able to modify the seat brackets to make them fit.
Or...if you want to put the time into it, you could swap the bottom pans from the seats...but I hear it's very labor intensive.
Measure where the bolts go for your seats and compare them with the 91 seats, they should be slightly different...but very doable. Good luck!</TD></TR></TABLE>

I tried putting CRX Si seats into my 88 hatch doing this. I failed miserably. The seatpan is very different.

I put 91 Si Seats into my 89 DX.. It took about 2 hours and all I did was go over to the hardware store. Get some longer bolts and nuts and washers. Had to grind the Rails down a little to make em fit snug but wasn't a huge ordeal. Re-Drilled the Holes and Voila they went in like Fylnn..
Here is the Pics of the seats.
