Default changed MTF? was there too much?

alright, yesterday i did some work on the car. got rid of a couple interior rattles, new brembo blanks, axxiss ultimate pads, new MTF, cleaned wheels, yada yada.

when i pulled the FILLER plug of my trans with the trans side of the engine jacked up higher then the engine side, mtf POURED out. not a couple drips, but kind've like it was the drain plug i pulled. THEN i leveled the car, and pulled the drain plug to empty.

now i know that means there was WAY too much fluid in there, could that have a negative effect on my trans, either short term or long term?

FYI: when i filled, the car was level and i put about 2.5 bottles of GM syncromesh FM (trans: 98 itr lsd). i stopped once it started dripping out of the filler hole.

Only issue seen by over filling tranny is gears popping out of gear.

thats what your saposed to do bro, since there is no dipstick to be able to get a reading what you do is keep poring untill it starts comming out of the filler bolt. if memory serves me right it should be just a little shy of 2 qts. you didnt do anything wrong to the beast

no, my ? is WAS it too full? cause once i pulled the filler bolt the existing fluid SHOT out of the hole, not just a little bit, but it was filled PAST the filler hole, by probaby an inch or so.

it could of been over filled so it that case open the bolt back up and let it drain till it stops then u will have the correct amount in the trans and when i say bolt i mean the filler bolt
