im goin to look at a 90-91 crx si tomorow. its black and has had rust repaired with metal, not bondo. i still wanna search for other spots that there might be rust. i've heard to check the skirts cuz they typically do rust under there. anything else i should check out?

 

theres probably gonna be rust in alot of places,just make sure some of the important places are not rusted out like suspension,steering rack and crossmembers..

 

Check for broken climate controls.

 

under the rear bumper too. Also check for wet spots in the interior.

 

arite..thanks for the ideas guys...its not new paint so i just hope its not covering up alotta stuff, he only wants 2500 for it

 

any more things to look for?

 

any oil leaks around the motor, check the axles-any clicking if you drive it, look to see if any corrosion on the battery, condition of the brakes, squeaks - rattles etc.. theres alot to check, but i know its not a new car. for 2500 it should be in awesome shape though. make sure sunroof is nice and smooth when opening it.

yeh....my friends crx had troubles with the sliding roof and i dont wanna deal with that...thanks for all the ideas..goin to look at it around 6

 

make sure to lift up the carpet/covering in the hatch area. look for any rust, past water leaks and obviously any previous collision repair

 

ya if you really wanna check it all out you can take the bumpers off and then you can tell if its been damaged,you will learn alot about it just by test driving it,but dont worry too much cuz most things can be fixed...good luck dood

 

thanks..im gonna try talkin the guy down because i went up and looked over it quickly last week and he had a sign on it that said 3200 and told me hed take 2500 so it doesnt seem like he will hard to talk down..but we'll see
