Would you buy this bike... please read
Would you buy the following bike if it were made by any of the four major sportbike manufacturers in the future...
1. Has 200+ whp (almost 35 more than anything out there now)
2. Weighs 350lbs dry (almost 25lbs lighter than anything out there now)
3. Is available in any color scheme you like
4. Is priced comparatively to the liter bikes out there now
Let me know and why...

so basically a moto Gp bike? I say NO for the street...noone can even ride the new liter bikes to their full capability much less something like that..maybe for track use
I'd say hell yes. Just to say i had it. you're right about not very many people using the bike to it's full potential either. But how many people that ride today actually have more than a year or two experience?
From most riders around my area, they buy a bike during the college years, after that it becomes too much of a risk, or it's time to "grow up".

No, a regular street bike... a zx10r or an R1 five years from now lets say

thats where liter bikes will be in 5-10 years if you ask me. Look at the current trends, the massive increases in power and reduction in weight. The market is so competive, it pushes all the manufacturers to produce such machines.

I would kill myself on the street. I gurantee it.
That light....that much power. It would be like using something @ 50 % because you can't handle the rest.
I'd love a track bike like that though.

I don't think riding around at 3/10ths would be much fun. I had to break in a chain on the street awhile back and that was no fun. I never even saw 4th
You wouldnt be able to use half of the throttle. Thats crazy power at that weight. My f4i feels fast as **** every gear. Curious on how a liter bike feels
I wouldn't get one, thats too much power, you dont need that kind of power to weight ratio, for street use its very unsafe, you'd be spinning the tires all the way through 3rd at WOT, kinda useless if you ask me....the bikes just keep getting bigger but there is no REALISTIC use for that on the street, its just so squids can say they have that kind of power really..i garentee not even 1% of people who ride liter bikes are using them to their ability.
My point exactly... I don't think everyone realizes that their bikes can break the speed limit in first gear, or approx 4 seconds... these squids (as everyone says) want bragging rights, they want to have people stare... for what? I have a family that loves me and I know a bike of this power would kill me quick on the streets, and I certainly wouldnt' be able to tame it on the track... the post was just to see how many people wanted something for reasons other than to buy a bike they'd love to ride...
to answer ur questions Mazdillac... a liter bike pulls harder, its like a car with more torque... but once u get the revs up on a 600 it will level out with the liter bike. Compare an s2k at 9k vs. a ford mustang gt with a redline of 7k. And I doubt the bike would spin tires through third, it would wheelie you off the back...

yeh, well its stupid really. and i bet with cold tires you could spin them all the way through 3rd on a bike that light with that much power....but yeh,
Id never go bigger than a 600 unless i lived in a VERY flat area and the only reason i would go to a 1000cc's would be because i was doing a LOT of highway riding at fairly high speeds and didn't want a bike that would be at screaming high rpms while doing it
