Default questions about building a b16 bottom end

i spun a bearing in the bottom end of my b16 causing a rod to bend, so now i'm thinking of building up the block, i want to have it sleeved and high compression, i'm also going to change over to obd 1 and use a hondata unit. anybody have any sugestions for me on what to do with my block and what kinda cr i should go with for just a strong all motor set up.
thanks

Well considering you bent a rod, spun a bearing and most likely scratched the nicad coated surface of your crank, your block is now basically just a bare block.... If you're so intent on a fully built high c/r NA motor, You're going to want to look into more than just sleeves. Strengthened Rods (Although some NA guys are a little overkill on this considering htey aren't boosting), Some really high CR pistons (possibly when you have the sleeved, have it overbored so you can run CTR pistons, and definately a new crank. If you've got hte money, aim for as high as CR you can possibly build and still meet your needs. With proper tuning you can do anything!

for NA i wouldnt think sleeving is really necessary. think about it.. a CTR motor is what 11.5:1 cr with oem sleeves.

get some crower econo oem length rods. plop CTR pistons on there. use a CTR intake cam w/ ITR exhaust cam. get some good valve springs/retainers (or ITR units). a lightened flywheel w/ a streetable clutch.

you should be near 200 Crank hp w/ that. although trq wouldnt be very impressive. (130ish tops)

But as stated above. get the crank checked out as well.

If you really wanna make some good power/trq get a b20z block and build upon that instead. (160+ trq sounds oh so nice)

If you sleeve your block, go with forged rods and pistons, I wouldn't use cast pistons.

Get High Compression Endyn Rollerwavers, and Pauter or Scat rods.
