Default Headlight swap ?'s

Today I put my highbeam(9005) bulbs and sockets into my projector housings, and yes... it is a bit brighter(still stock bulbs). I want more though!!! HID will come someday but my budget right now will not allow. I have had 2 different types of 9006 "HYPERWHITES" in already... and they ended up blowing out in about 3 months.

So my question is... Should I upgrade the 9005's to PIAA platinums(supposedly they last longer?) for the whiter light and the power, and keep them in the lowbeam housing? I say yes.. but what about the heat issue.. think its alright to keep highbeam 9005 PIAA's on at all times during night driving?

T.I.A...

Also... it was a cinch to swap the sockets... 3 minutes with a needlenose and you would never know. You can swap them back and forth all day after the first time!

Hyperwhites are actually blue tinted lights that cut out a yellowish glow of the light and actually reduce the amount of light that is projected.

If you stick piaas in your headlights you will definately notice a difference. Yes, it costs a lot more, but you will notice a difference AND they will last about 15 times longer than you "hyper white" bulbs.

Not to mention the integra has one of the finest light projection systems I've ever seen. You should have no problem seeing with any bulb.

dude - I know you said its not in your budget - but I just put in HIDs (philips plug & play) and the shiet is sooooo sweeeet, so worth it and as long as you don't touch the bulbs they should pretty much last the life of the car - sorry no pics, no digicam

This is so true, I put the exact same pair of blue bulbs my friend had in his accord into my integra and u can notice such a difference with projection headlights, it was day and night. I dunno if all projection systems are like the integra's but I integra's are really nice.
