how much are gunmetal type r wheels worth, the owner said there about a 7 out of 10 and there only the rims no tires, how much are these worth, now im not exactly sure on the condition im just goin on what the owener said

 

7 out of 10 is subjective - they're probably worse than that.

The paint chips off easily around the rim if tires have been removed/replaced.

I would go see them in person - otherwise "caveat emptor"

 

I'd presume around $250 with centercaps

It totally depends on condition and demand and of course what people will pay.

Me personally, I'd only pay $400. for a set of 4.

But, then I already have them and don't need anymore.

 

I'd pay $500 max for mint condition, since they are a 7 I'd have to say 300-350

 

my question is why do we lowball ourselves? i had mine up which i purchased from you 01-0720 for 575 and i had all kinds of people trying to buy. i kept them in the end though.

 

sold my rims for 760 on ebay w/o shipping. they were with fairly used azenis.

As a point of reference, I paid about $550 (shipped from the UK) for a set of CTR wheels (just like stock CW wheels, but with Honda centercaps). Should have sold them separately, but they went with the Hype R when I sold it.

 

I sold my 98 wheels in 2000 in mint condition w/ the original tires after 12K miles for a grand It's all about timing, supply/demand, and condition

 

A set of gunmetal wheels in mint condition, with no tires or crappy tires or bald tires, can sell for $550-600. In so-so condition - maybe one or two wheels with significant chips or curb rash - $400-450. In crappy condition, $350. (I agree with Big Phat R that these are probably in so-so conditon.)

If there are good tires on them (say RE010 or S-03 or Azenis), add in 50 percent of the cost of the tires when new, pro-rated for the amount of tread remaining.

However, if you're willing to listen to those guys who are lowballing you, IM me and I'll buy 'em for the prices they're throwing at you.

 

these are the wheels in question. they have never been curbed, bent, or otherwise damaged except for the cosmetic chips.

Yeah, I wouldn't call them mint, but 7 out of 10 is probably pretty accurate, based on the photos.

I'd say the set is probably worth around $500 or so.

wheels #2-3 are really in quite good cosmetic shape.

Those are better shots.

I'd call them 5 out of 10 - at least that's what I would call the two with the close-ups.

Anywhere in the $450-500 range...

 

Don't forget if ya had to buy them new from the dealer they cost 350 each!

I'd say they are worth 500- 600.

 

$350-$450 for the set. lips are heavily damaged in the last pic.

 

the 1st wheel has the most paint damage. wheels 2-3 only have a few chips and no lip damage. wheel 4 is similar to wheels 2-3 but with damage on the wheel face as show in the closeup.

 

I paid $500 for a set much worse off than that w/ bald RE's.

Edit- I ended up getting a can of oem gm paint made and resprayed them. They l00k awesome.

but I must say Aaron (mh #9) is a honest and trustworthly guy
