Default camshaft installation

when putting in camshaft do you have to adjust your valves
i putting in some skunk 2 camshaft and gears and was woundering if i have to adjust my valves
or can you just take your stock one's out and put the aftermarket one's in
this is on a b18c motor

do a valve adjustment. it's not hard, it just requires a 10mm socket, feeler gauges and a slotted screwdriver, and 1/2 of your time. If you are changing your cams to different profile, you want to keep it in spec.

i hope you up graded your valves springs. with new cams you will want to adjust agian in 100-200 miles.

yep just do that not hard to do i think theres a howto on c-speedracing.com if you dont know how to do it...

loosen all the lock nuts on the tappets and back out all of the tappets before putting in your new cams.

One of the final steps will be setting the lash on the valves. 0.007/0.009 are good lashes on hotter BVTEC cams.
