I have been a wanna-be honda tuner long before tuning hondas was cool. But dealing withg daily drivers i have always opted for the pros to equip my cars. But my budget is begging me to try a swap myself. I've read most honda\acura books that are out there , not to mention the plethera of often mis-INFORmation thats availiabe on the internet. Does 3 years of reading honda tuning give me a chance of completing this swap. Your VIRGIN engine swap stories would be greatly appreciated. ALSO what am i going to pay for a non-vtech b18 with about 20-30k miles on it? I wax quotted 3200 from raceline tuning. OK i'll shut up now

try Hmotorsonline.com. talk to steve. He should get u a better price than 3200 dollars. As far as the swap goes. It depends on how mechanically inclined u are, and how much engine work u have done in your life. As far as that swap goes, its very very easy in my book. Good luck.

 

An LS swap into an EK is very easy, almost as simple as replacing the stock motor/tranny which is basically what you are doing. With the proper brackets and mounts, it'll bolt in just like stock and will require minimal if any wiring (depends on the model). So if you think you can change a motor/tranny and do your homework, you should have trouble doing the swap within a few days given that you have everything ready to go.
