lowering 96' accord ex
i wanna lower my '96 accord ex, but i dont wanna lose handling. i know there are some shocks or something that i can buy to lower AND retain handling. i am one hell of a noob when it comes to this stuff, so could someone please help me out?
The point of lowering a car is to lower the center of gravity of the car, which makes the car have better cornering ability. Lowering springs are used to lower a car, not the shocks. Shocks are used to dampen the movement of the spring. Lowering a car also makes it look better. If you stick with quality suspension parts such as Eibach and RS-R, then your ride will not suffer and your handling will improve. Some people are cheap or dumb, and they get the cheapest stuff they can find, and it makes their car bounce like there is no tomorrow. If you have more money to spend, you should look into some good shocks, preferably adjustable ones. Some brands include Koni, KYB, Tokico. Good luck.
