Does it matter what side i get if i am just attaching them to a rollbar? whats the difference between the left and right sides?

 

Which belts?

The Rally 3 & 4 have left and right sides. The reason? Because German engineers in white lab coats said so. It has something to do with the black thing that sits on the belt on the inboard side. I have no tech for what that thing actually is or does, only that it was in the directions.

 

i understand for bolting them down it could matter, but for jsut wrapping them around a rollbar harness bar. i mean its just 2 straps that go up and wrap around, right? so why can't i just use 2 "right" side belts for both seats (i am tlakin about a 4 point harness)

 

There's a difference, and you'll notice it on the buckle tab. The left shoulder belt tab is angled in (towards the right) and the right shoulder belt tab vice versa. There should be a little fluorescent orange sticker for one side and a green one for the other side, each of which says R or L (I can't remember which, and I don't want to go look at my car now).
