flywheel dust cover fitment with different oil pan

flywheel dust cover fitment with different oil pan
I was putting my tapped y7 oil pan onto my y8 and i noticed that i could no longer get the flywheel dust cover to fit. Anybody else have this problem with putting a y7 oil pan onto a y8?

i had this problem on a friends car awhile back, and just left it off 
im thinking u can trim it to work. but if it worries you just tap the y8 pan.

haha yea i was thinking about just trimming it down
