how to paint side door inserts

does anybody have a how - to on how to paint th edoor inserts on the side of a civic black?

I wouldnt paint them, but thats just me. That is a high traffic area for scuffs since you are in and out over them. Paint will just get scatched and come off and look like crap. Bad idea.
