what rails do i need to put 98 integra seats into a 89 hatchback
you can't really just swap rails and get them to fit. i have 94 gsr seats in mine.....i don't know if the 98 is the same or not? it was a pain though. i had to take the outer rail of my car (the one closest to each door) and put them on the bottom of the integra seat. then that rail will bolt in. then i had to semi cut out the inner rails hole for the bolt in the front (front inner corner)...i put a "c" notch in it, then used a big washer to get it to hold good. the bolt hole and the hole on that frame rail is about 1" off.....the "c" notch worked great. now you have the inner rear bolt not touching anything, and it's not anywhere near getting to the bolt hole on the car....and it sits about 2" higher than the floor board of the car. so i made a spacer out of a block of steel and put a bolt all the way through it, and the frame rail. works great. there might be an easier way to do it, but that's how i did mine. it's also should be easier for you since you have a 89.....since i have a 90, i had to mount my seatbelts onto the seats because the electrical sensor wouldn't work with the 98 plug right....the seatbelts wouldn't lock up under hard braking....so i welded the old seat belt buckles onto the sides of the seat, and then spliced the wiring....works great....but i don't think you're going to have to do that on yours. hope that helps you some.
I had to get a guy to custom fabricate new brackets on my del sol seats to fit my 89 rex. You can prolly get someone to weld it in for you for cheap, but its not coming off after that.
