Default Skunk2 manifold on a LS

I was thinking of getting a Skunk2 manifold, I was just wondering if it is worth the money on a LS? What kind of gains will I see with my mods? Do I have to change my intake, TB?

it helps in the top end of the rpm band. it's good for about 5-8whp at the top end. you gain a little low end torque too but you loose a slight bit of midrange power.....

it's worth it though. especially if you plan to get cam's later on............

Anyone know how the gains are on a turbo car? Or is it just better to go w/ one made for FI?

In general I have found through research that it will give a minimal gain for the non-vtecs (~5-10hp), and give a good boost for FI.

I bought one for my NA '96 RS (non-vtec). If you have the cash then go for one, but you'd probably be better off upgrading the cams first. (cost/performance wise)

If your using an older PR4 head, this manifold fits like crap. Save your money

so then you don't have to use the intake manifold that would be made with the turbo?

I would get the ITR manifold that will bolt right up for you... the Skunk2 one is made for the GSR!
you should see about 5-8 hp..

The ITR intake manifold does NOT bolt right up. You need a lot of modification to have it fit. The flange portion doesn't match up. Skunk2 made a bolt-on especially for the B18B Non-VTECs. The only thing that is required is a new throttle cable bracket. Use the Si(R).

Nonvtec: do you think I should get my B18A1 manifold match ported when i get my headwork done or do you think I should put that extra $$ towards a skunk2 manifold? Thanks

Is it possible to fit a ITR intake manifold and throttle body onto a b18b.....
if so how.....is it worth the time, money, and effort?
i only ask this cause i would like to build my engine by incorporating
type r parts may it be civic type r /or integra type r

The cost of a Skunk2 intake manifold for B18B and the labour cost to make the ITR intake manifold fit onto the B18B is almost the same. The end results is exactly the same. Unless you can find a very cheap ITR intake manifold, why waste the time to get the ITR to fit. Just get the S2IM. As for the TB, you can just overbore the LS one to 64mm.

Yes, the stock B18A/B TB will fit onto the Skunk2 Intake Manifold (B18A/B version).
You will just need to get the Si(R) throttle cable bracket as the LS one doesn't fit.
