yup, you're cat is starting to go out... it may not be totally dead yet, but if you're expecting on doing a smog test anytime soon, you might want to look into prices for a new one...
well... let me ask you a few things before i make any suggestions
are you planning on doing a smog check anytime soon?
are you planning on selling your car?
is the car for commuting, cruising, city driving?

Simple! Just buy an ECU simulator for about $30 bucks and that should stop the CEL from coming on.

i have the same problem, where can i get an o2 simulator that works and who knows how to put one one? thanks in advance.
is that an ecu simulator or an o2 simulator? a p0420 code is set when the secondary o2 sensor shows an oscillating voltage similar to the primary o2... it should be fairly steady.
you might be able to "fool" the ecu into thinking the cat is working right IF you're able to provide the ecu a constant 0.6v

its a small chip that u put on your Ecu to trick it to believing that the secondary O2 sensor is even there....or its running fine...I've heard it works and i just ordered mine and will give it a try this weekend....check Ebay for it....i forgot the other web page!
