What kind of intake on a B18C1 hatch?
Tried the AEM CAI for a GSR and it fits.... except I don't have the real AEM filter (which is skinnier than most I think).... so when I try to put the filter I do have on, it doesn't fit unless I took out all that plastic stuff (which I really don't want to do). Also, my car is pretty low and that filter is very very close to the ground and would easily suck up water if I hit a puddle...
But, I've seen some photos of hatches that have intakes that extend all the way over to where that hole is from the stock airbase... I was curious what kind of intake those are from? Custom? I think having the pipping run right to that hole and end a few inches after it would be perfect... not extremely low and away from the engine/heat.

with a stock intake manifold, the stock GS-R arm and air box work fine for me. You can even go with a short ram and connect a custom duct to it.
as far as AEM CAI I don't like that crap and yes I have previously owned it before.
A buddy of mines has a AEM CAI for a 99-00 Si and it fit on a GS-R motor with a stock intake mani fits pretty good...
