Routing door lock and unlock wires for alarms
I have the wires routed between the door panel and the door itself...and I tried running it through the OEM loom. Any suggestions on getting it cleaned up?? I'll try to get pics of it ASAP so you know what I'm talking about. I hope I'm not confusing anyone......

The green's for the door unlock (the lock function is fried in the alarm brain) and the red and black are connected to the battery.

On hondas at least the early ones without a molex plug
the best way to do it is to remove the doors
run your wires ( basically make your own harness )
wrap it in tape.. use 3M 33+ vinyl tape
remember to run all wires as well a future plan
( that way you do it once)
replace door
thats it.
happy installing
that it

I looked at the pic again..
He has a loom running into the door already
all his has to do is.
a. remove lockpin on door.
b. unbolt door from car.
c. route wires through loom.
d. reattach door.

So there's NO WAY I can do this without removing the door?
On a side note:
I want to install additional LEDs on each door...with that said...how do I get full power to each LED using the ONE output off the alarm brain???

instead of taking off the door, why dont you just take off the fender..its much easier to work with and not as heavy. Take off the fender, then route your wire. Any like someone else said.. while you are at it, route a few extra ones for future mods. As for the LED. just wire them positive to positive, negative to negative.

Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of finding out that it is a molex plug. So I guess I'll just have to drill a new hole. With that decision already made, should I use the split loom or just wrap it generously with electrical tape??

on older cars such as my ef, run wires through the boots but outside the factory loom, but wrap the whole thing in tape for the factory look. newer cars with the molex plugs, i run the wires through the boot but outside of the plug (still inside the boot). using a unibit on my right angle drill, i oval the opening just enough to fit the new wires keeping the boot tight enough to seal back up. i definately charge extra for this service at work. goodluck
time to go get professional installtion....
no wires should travel from under the hood and through the fender!!!!!!
the lock wires are scary, and a better way is found, but those wires coming from under the hood are just wrong!

There's an oval plug under, what I'm guessing is the fuel filter. I'll try to feed the battery wires through there.
i did mine kinda the ghetto way and ran it between the door panel and door, then into the car through the grommet in the door sill. but i covered mine in some black wire loom. the stuff i got with my amp wiring kit.
