Hey guys, I have a 1999 civic Si and my dashboard lights we're messing up for the last couple nights "i have the dash lights that you can change the colors from like black and white to blue and green and what not, and the lights would just change colors when i was driving for no reason then it froze on black white and wouldnt change colors anymore but then 20 minutes later it was normal again" and then tonight my speedometer stopped working and i couldn't see how fast i was going, then about 20 minutes later when i was driving it home for the night cuz it was having troubles and the speedometer started working again... can someone help me by giving me some like step by step instructions on how to check this problem or how to fix it myself? i would like to start doing work on my car myself but i need help at the momment so please no one leave any mean or jerky reply's for this, i mean i just want help to fix my car so im asking you guys for advice, thanks guys your always very helpful for me and i enjoy this site very much.

Theres your problem. These things crap out after a while of use and Im betting that your speedo problem is due to the needle sticking somewhere.
I recommend you remove your cluster and carefully remove the gauge faces. You'll feel a lot better once you do this
