Default Head Work

I've decided that I want to be one of Arizon'a fastest ALL MOTOR SOHC So everyone is telling me that if I want my D16z6 to be faster, I should do some head work to it. This is all great and Dandy but the only problem is that I dont know everything there is to know about motors, and telling me headwork, doesnt exactly tell me anything. Crap I can get headwork from my girl, but I know thats not the kind everyone is telling me to get I know that their are others out there that dont know everything about motors like me so......

Question (we will need everyones experience on this one):

What work can be done to a head to make it faster? Specifics Please!!!

Im going to start making a Build up sheet on each part of a car. Each week Ill pick a different part of the enigine/car. That way, when Im done, Anybody can come to the post and say, I want to make my car faster, what else can do to my head, or block, or internals, etc.... Hopfully everyone will help on this one. I know there are buildup threads out there, but all the ones Ive found dont give specifics, or just say, "Mill the head. next sleeve the block" Thats great, but that doesnt tell someone anything if they dont know what "milling" is.

http://www.alaniztechnologies.com/

search in the honda/acura section of the headwork. Alaniz has a site that gives you terms and they break it down more w/ the technological ****.
