Default what r some good 6gen catbacks that r great for TURBO (no customs)

i have decided to start saving money for an fmax turbonetics kit on my 00 lx f23a4 engine

there is also a t25 garrett but i read that it is smaller, anyone have xperience with this? i have just heard more about FMAX accords and that is why i am going with that

(btw does the ulev on my accord affect anything? would it be the same as if i was turboing an f23a1?)

-----------------------------------------------------

MY QUESTION is : I am going to buy a cat back exhaust system this summer (before going thru with actually buying the turbo) what do you guys recommend for my car ? ---considering that i am going to turbo it later---
(something i can keep for later and something that will work well together with forced induction)

i dont want to get a custom catback i just want to buy a brand name one.
what diameters should i look for? ive heard recommendations of 3 inch, but are there 3 inch catback systems for accords? if not (since i am not going to do custom for sure) is 2.5 ok? or what?

any recommendations?

ive learned a lot about turbos just today haha kinda newb though and i jsut decided to forget my plan for buying dc headers

Your ULEV would go to **** thats about it...

You should get Hondata or some such to tune the engine for turbo, and get a high flow/gutted cat to help the extra stresses on the exhaust.

Your car won't stay ULEV i believe...more of an EV haha

Anyway, look at the Apex'i N1 exhausts...i think htey come full catback. The N1's were MADE for turbo...

Good luck!

I know you don't want to go custom but they sell N1's seperately as mufflers...

Sorry I can't help much though...

The rule with turbos to the most extent is the bigger the piping the better the power...

I saw someone throw on a 3 inch exhaust from a 2.5 on their eclipse and gain roughly 30 horsepower...

So if you have to get custom, get at least 2.5 in.

hks makes 60 mm (a little less than 2.5) turbo exhausts for some cars

wouldnt it be ok to assume that 2.5 is ok ?

2.5 is ok, 3 is best if u plan on boosting higher in the future.....Thermal R&D makes turbo catbacks for accords, though im not sure if they have them for 6th gen....might wanna check that out....their NA accord exhausts are REALLY nice

the size of the diameter of the pipe

the number of resonator and size

the size and desigh of muffler section(free flow? resonated?)

for na car, you need some back pressure to draw all the gas out but in turbo/sc application you want zero back pressure.
dont think there's brand name exhaust system for 6th gen accord.
I put my pieces together myself and it's cheaper.

there's na and turbo version of apexi N1 60mm(na) vs 80mm(turbo)

turbo catback on na car sounds like an **** so dont try
