95 Accord V6 Swap? the hell?
i have a 95 accord v6, im hopeing to swap a h22 in there soon but i have no clue as to if it would fit, i understand that the v6 models have more engine space but i dont know if anything else would match up for a swap
someone help me with this please.
how much should i be spending on the motor and the labor for the swap if the swap will work?
thanks all
oh yeah if anyone near North caroline does engine swaps let me know.

Your best bet is to find an older NSX motor because those are c blocks but if you really want an H22 then you should sell that car and buy a prelude.
Yea I would not recommend doing an H22 in a v-6 accord body unless you have a lot of time and money. The v-6 accord front end is longer that than the 4 Cly and the motor mounts are in different places. The interesting thing is that the SIR accord they use in touring races is a v-6 body with a H22 motor. When they use longer body, the motor sits behind the front axles making it a mid engine car!

if you really want an H22 accord your best bet would be to sell that V6 and you can buy my 95 H22 Accord for sale.
otherwise a V6 from an older legend w/ a 5sp swap wouldn't be a bad idea. an NSX motor i would think would be very difficult since the NSX is rwd.

That's very interesting. You learn something new everyday.

thats a ton of work. have same 95 av6 and looked into it. best thing is keep the c27 and try to put in a 5 spd or else get a 4 cyl and put in the H22. i'll probably end up doin that.

this wouldn't be a wise choice cost wise. may as well either buy an H22 Accord, a VTEC lude, or something else that is already fast.

Well the origional v6 accord was built to satisfy the american feeling that the more cylinders= the more power. But when building the car they added so much weight that the cars were really slow and the 4cylinder accords were faster. Swapping in an H22 would yield more power but it would cost so much due to wiring and custom mounts and all would not be cost effective. If you have that car and want more power then sell your car and get something more mod friendly and already fast. There are a few H22 accords for sale right now just look around.
don't agree with u 01accordv6 that the 4 cyl is faster. i take pretty much take all of the 4 cyl i come across and mine 95av6 is pretty much stock. major problem with it is that there are no aftermarket parts for it. makes it difficult to tune
, would much rather get a H22 accord

Ok well you can not agree with me all you want until you see a stock 95 v6 vs a stock 95 4cyl manual race and watch the 4cyl win. Or you could just look at the performance times in car and driver.

it was always FWD, first gen and second, coupe or sedan.
5th gen ex vtec with stick is faster than 5th gen v6 at the quarter mile, proven fact.
I am sure you get some throttle off the line with the C series but i know how they feels, i have one myself in my legend

for P1 they are good people and will treat people properly. Also i will get you a number for a shop in Oak Ridge, Tn where the owner has a 95 v6 accord turbo with a tranny swap. He will probably have more answers than anyone else. I will find it and get it for you.
