Default Sprung 6 puck vs unsprung 6 puck

Is one going to allow an easier engagement. I'd like to know the advantages of each, thanks guys.

The one with the sprung center section will allow for easier engagement for reasons which should seem obvious.

Put it this way: You have two cars identical in every way except suspension. One has shocks/springs/etc and the other has no suspension at all. Just a couple of steel beams to keep the wheels from bottoming out. Which one will ride smoother?
